ECONET Mission Statement

Building an ecological, tolerant, and healthy society based on the principles of environmental conservation and post-war reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine; advocating for rights protection, preserving the psychological well-being of the population, including youth and (LGBTIQ+ youth).

ECONET Vision Statement

Our vision is for Ukraine to become an example of an environmentally conscious, tolerant, and healthy society. We aspire to create a country where every citizen has the opportunity to live in harmony with nature and the surrounding environment, where the rights of all individuals regardless of their nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristics are respected and protected. We aim to ensure the psychological well-being of the entire population, including youth, (LGBTIQ+ youth) and representatives of groups facing discrimination and stigma, and provide them with an environment where they can unfold their potential and freely express themselves.

Whats mean “Ecological”?

For us, ecology extends beyond the natural environment. We use the term to describe the quality of human relationships and the social environments we create together. An ecological approach to human relationships is based on respect for personal boundaries, attentiveness to others’ emotional and psychological well-being, honesty, accountability, and a commitment to rejecting manipulation, discrimination, and violence. This is why the word “Ecological” in our organization’s name reflects our commitment to creating healthy social environments where people feel safe, heard, supported, and accepted.
