ECONET Ukraine team took part in the 10th KyivPride march

On June 21, the 10th KyivPride took place in Kyiv. Our organization joined the march on behalf of Mentally.one, a youth mental health support project that we implement in Ukraine.

Five thousand people took part in the march. Among the participants were military personnel, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations, civil society activists, members of the LGBTQI+ community, as well as their friends and allies. At the front of the march, participants carried photographs of LGBTQI+ service members who gave their lives for Ukraine.

The Mentally.one column marched under the slogan “Mental Health is a Human Right.” For us, this message was especially important. The right to psychological support, the right to seek help, and the right to be yourself are also fundamental human rights.

When you see thousands of people standing together for dignity, respect, and equal rights, you realize that society is gradually changing.

We would like to thank everyone who marched alongside us in the Mentally.one column, supported us, helped organize the event, and stood with us on this day.

See you next year. We hope that by the next Pride, we will be able to celebrate new positive steps toward equality and respect for human rights in Ukraine.
