Psychological support group “without a mask: meeting your true self” took place in Kyiv

On 6 August 2026, another psychological support group was held as part of the Mentally.one project. The session was dedicated to the theme “Without a Mask: Meeting Your True Self.”

During the meeting, participants explored their personal identity, reflected on the social roles they take on in everyday life, and considered what lies beneath the “masks” they often wear. In a safe and supportive environment, they had the opportunity to better understand themselves, listen to their own needs, and take another step toward building more honest and compassionate relationships with themselves.

The practical part of the session included the “Social Wardrobe” exercise, work with metaphorical associative cards, the guided meditation “Taking Off the Mask,” a reflection on the concepts of the “Real Self” and the “Ideal Self,” and the reflective exercise “Letter to the Shadow.” Each activity was followed by a group discussion, allowing participants to deepen their self-awareness while learning from one another’s experiences.

These meetings create a space where people can feel safe to be themselves, better understand their emotions, and gradually reconnect with their authentic selves without the pressure of meeting other people’s expectations.

We sincerely thank all participants for their openness, trust, and mutual support. We look forward to seeing you at future Mentally.one support groups!
