Psychotherapy Support Group for Women in Kyiv: “Working with Emotions and Developing Gratitude”

A psychotherapy support group for women, including representatives from the LGBTQ+ community, recently took place in Kyiv.

At this session, participants worked on emotional regulation, awareness of their own resources, and the development of gratitude. The atmosphere of trust and openness fostered self-reflection and inner resourcefulness.

Throughout the session, several effective techniques were used:

🔹 Breathing exercise – helped participants relax, calm down, and prepare for the work ahead.
🔹 Controlling negative emotions – a technique aimed at reducing tension and stabilizing emotional states.
🔹 “8 Squares” in art therapy – a creative process that allowed participants to structure their experiences and discover inner resources for overcoming difficulties.
🔹 “Five things I am grateful for today” – a final reflection that helped participants focus on positive moments and strengthen their sense of gratitude.

The session concluded with warm tea, treats, and a group photo, which strengthened the sense of unity and support.

Thank you to everyone who attended! We look forward to our next meetings!
