Psychotherapeutic Support Group for Men “Anger as a Resource”
On September 21, 2025, a unique psychological support group for young men took place on the topic “Anger as a Resource.”
Anger is one of the strongest emotions that we often suppress or fear. At the same time, it is precisely this emotion that helps us defend our boundaries, protect ourselves, and feel our inner strength.
Recently, a psychological group dedicated to anger and aggression was held. Participants had the opportunity to explore their personal anger triggers, understand the difference between destructive aggression and healthy expression of anger, and practice safe ways of expressing it.
How it went
The two-hour session combined theoretical blocks and practical exercises. During the meeting, participants:
- got acquainted through the exercise “Mix of Emotions”;
- discussed typical behavior when feeling angry;
- worked through case situations related to aggression;
- explored which emotions are often confused with anger and who this anger is really directed at;
- practiced the exercise “Triggers” to better understand their own internal reaction mechanisms.
At the end of the group, participants shared feedback and summarized their insights.
Why it matters
When anger is blocked, it often turns into self-directed aggression: toxic relationships, psychosomatic symptoms, or harmful habits. Working with this emotion allows not only to reduce inner tension but also to unlock new resources for personal growth.
