A Support Group on the Topic of Apathy Was Held

On May 4, 2026, the Mentally.one team held an online support group dedicated to the topic of apathy. The session was facilitated by Zhanna Parkhomenko, who helped participants explore this common emotional state in greater depth and better understand its manifestations.

During the meeting, participants discussed what apathy is, why it occurs, and how it can manifest in everyday life. Particular attention was paid to the physical sensations associated with apathy, as well as the emotions and thoughts that may arise when experiencing this state.

Participants had the opportunity to compare apathy with other psychological conditions, discuss its characteristics, and gain a deeper understanding of their own experiences. The meeting was conducted in the format of an open dialogue and collaborative exploration, allowing participants not only to gain new insights but also to ask questions and learn from the experiences of others.

The group also discussed how apathy can be a natural response of the mind to certain life circumstances and prolonged stress. Participants explored possible causes of apathy and reflected on the importance of paying close attention to their own emotional state and personal needs.

The session took place in an atmosphere of openness, support, and mutual respect. Through shared discussion, participants were able to better understand the nature of apathy, normalize their own experiences, and gain greater confidence in caring for themselves during periods of emotional exhaustion.

We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, trust, and willingness to explore important topics together. Meetings like these help people find support, better understand themselves, and strengthen their psychological well-being.
