An online support group on “The Interaction of queer people with different Environments” was held

On May 18, 2026, the Mentally.one team held an online support group on the topic “The Interaction of Queer People with Different Environments.” The session was facilitated by psychologist Zhanna, who created a safe space for discussing experiences of interacting with different social environments and the challenges queer people may face in their daily lives.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences of communication within their families, educational settings, workplaces, circles of friends, and other social groups. Special attention was given to how different environments can influence feelings of safety, acceptance, and the ability to be oneself.

The group provided a space for open dialogue about challenges, resources, and strategies for interacting with people who may have different perspectives, levels of awareness, or attitudes toward the LGBTQI+ community. Participants discussed their experiences, challenges, and ways of supporting themselves in situations involving misunderstanding or stigma.

The meeting also helped participants gain a deeper understanding of their personal needs, boundaries, and resources that can support psychological well-being when interacting with different people and communities.

The group took place in an atmosphere of trust, openness, and mutual support. Participants had the opportunity to be heard, receive support, and recognize that their experiences often resonate with those of others.

We would like to thank all participants for their sincerity, openness, and active engagement. Meetings like these help strengthen a sense of community, build resilience, and discover new ways of supporting oneself in different life circumstances.
