Info stand of “Ecological Network of Ukraine” at the fair in Munich
On 24 November, the Christmas fair in Munich — https://www.pink-christmas.de — officially opened.
A distinctive feature of this fair is that one of the exhibition pavilions is hosted by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora. The pavilion features information stands about our organization, as well as photos of our youth from this year’s Pride Week events.
Ten percent of the pavilion’s sales revenue will be transferred to our organization after the Christmas fair concludes, to support the implementation of psychological support groups in 2026.
If your friends or acquaintances are currently in Munich, please invite them to visit the fair and support us by purchasing items from Ukrainian souvenir producers — and, in doing so, supporting our organization.

Of course, Pink Christmas will be back in 2025 – for the 20th time! We’re already looking forward to it and eagerly anticipating the Advent season! This year, we’ll light up Stephansplatz in pink from November 24 to December 21. As always, Munich’s queer Christmas market will offer beautiful gift ideas, delicious food, a Prosecco bar, a wonderful atmosphere – and, of course, the tastiest mulled wine in town!
Our small show stage will provide daily entertainment, with DJ James Munich spinning his irresistible feel-good Christmas mix from 6 PM. One of the highlights on the Pink Christmas Stage is our Show Sunday, featuring drag star Gene Pascale at 7 PM, along with exciting surprises on our social media channels. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🎄💖✨
The Pink Christmas Market in Munich has been an important safe space for the queer community for years. Especially in times of growing extremism and the rise of far-right ideologies, it is more important than ever to create protected spaces where queer people can feel safe and accepted.
However, Pink Christmas must also confront its own internal bubble within the community—particularly with those who cling to outdated notions and still want to celebrate exclusively among themselves. We are proud to have created this diverse and inclusive atmosphere.
At the same time, the current societal developments are making more people aware of their identity and rights, inspiring them to actively support their community. Pink Christmas is not just a Christmas market—it is a platform for resistance and visibility. We provide a space for solidarity and progress, with the understanding that change is necessary to defend our values and rights.
I, Robert Maier-Kares, as the organizer of Pink Christmas, see it as my responsibility to preserve this space and to raise awareness that the challenges ahead are not diminishing. However, with commitment and solidarity, we can stand together for an open and diverse society.
Despite this, Pink Christmas remains politically neutral and evolves along with its visitors. Even here, old prejudices and rigid views must be broken down. Queer people are found in all parts of society and hold a broad range of political perspectives.
