Leonid Polishchuk, a representative of the NGO “Ecological Network of Ukraine”, took part in the School of Responsible Blogging “SHVABRA” 2.0, which was held in the Carpathians in August 2025. The event brought together nearly two dozen young creators from different parts of the country who are working on developing high-quality and responsible content on social media.

The school program consisted of four days of intensive offline training in the Carpathians, followed by online mentoring from leading experts. The topics included media literacy, creating Ukrainian-language content, countering disinformation, developing social blogging, and a blogger’s responsibility to their audience.

The school’s mentors included:

  • Olena Levandovska and Anastasiia Zubchenko — on partnerships;
  • Leonid Martynchyk — on audience influence;
  • Vadym Miskyi, Olha Kravchenko, and Oleksandr Pyrozhkov — on fakes and truth in social media;
  • Viktoriia Oliinyk — on educational content;
  • Andrii Shymanovskyi — on social blogging;
  • Oleksandra Pismichenko — on blogger responsibility.

Leonid Polishchuk shared his thoughts on participating in “SHVABRA” 2.0:

“I really enjoyed listening to the lectures of many experts who provided important information and held a lot of practical sessions. This truly helped change my worldview and boost my professionalism. I am confident that my content will become even more high-quality and responsible in the future. This will help change the world — I will be able to convey messages to my audience more thoroughly, creatively, and professionally in order to make Ukraine a more tolerant, democratic, and European country. I am sincerely impressed by this school and now feel like an officially responsible blogger.”

Why is this important?

The School of Responsible Blogging “SHVABRA” was created in partnership with the NGOs Detector Media and UMIND, in cooperation with the humanitarian organization People in Need and with financial support from the Czech people. It provides young bloggers not only with knowledge and practical skills but also with the opportunity to join a community of creators who are shaping a culture of responsible blogging in Ukraine.
