Members of the “Ecological Network of Ukraine” has participate in the start of the PrEP Injection program in Lviv

On August 23, 2024, Andrii Bogoslavets and Leonid Polishchuk from the “Ecological Network of Ukraine” public organisation were invited to the start ceremony of the injection-based PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) program in Lviv. On this day, five individuals from the MSM/LGBTQ+ community received their first injections, marking the official start of the program in Lviv city.

The injections were administered at the AIDS Center of Lviv, located at 45 Lysenka Street, in the heart of the city. Clients noted that this healthcare facility is situated in a green recreational area, making it easily accessible from any part of the city and providing a comfortable environment for receiving the medication.

Leonid Polishchuk and the “Ecological Network” team conducted video interviews with doctors, medical staff, and the program’s first clients. A video will be produced from this footage for social media, highlighting the importance and accessibility of the new program.
