Psychotherapeutic Support Group for Women Held in Kyiv: “Experience, Emotions, and the Warmth of Community”

A psychotherapeutic support group session for women, including representatives of the LGBTQ+ community, recently took place in Kyiv.

During this meeting, participants worked on themes of self-perception, support, and letting go of negative experiences. An atmosphere of trust and openness allowed everyone to explore their emotions more deeply and find inner resources for self-support.

Several effective practices were used during the session:

🔹 “Hands of Support” – an art therapy technique that helped participants recognize who or what they can rely on in difficult moments.
🔹 “What Do I Think About Myself?” – participants analyzed their beliefs, identified negative thoughts about themselves, and transformed them into more supportive ones.
🔹 “Fire of Letting Go” – a metaphorical practice that allowed participants to symbolically say goodbye to painful experiences and ease their emotional state.
🔹 “Five Things I Am Grateful for Today” – a closing reflection that helped participants focus on positivity and cultivate gratitude for the present moment.

The meeting concluded with warm tea, treats, and a group photo, strengthening the sense of unity and support.

This session contributed to emotional relief, self-worth awareness, and the creation of a positive outlook for the future. We thank everyone who attended and look forward to our next meetings!
