A support group “cinema therapy. Psychological analysis of a short film” was held
On June 4, 2026, the Mentally.one team held a support group titled “Cinema therapy. Psychological analysis of a short film”, dedicated to exploring the inner world through the analysis of cinematic images, storylines, and emotional reactions that arise while watching films.
During the meeting, participants explored how fictional stories can reflect personal experiences, inner emotions, values, and life patterns. Special attention was given to how characters, their decisions, and their interactions with the world around them can evoke emotional responses and help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
As part of the group, participants watched two short films and took part in their psychological analysis. The discussion focused not on evaluating the films from an artistic perspective, but on the thoughts, emotions, and associations they evoked. Through guided questions and shared reflection, participants had the opportunity to explore their emotional reactions, defense mechanisms, personal needs, and ways of interacting with the world.
The group format created a safe space for open dialogue and self-discovery. Participants shared their interpretations of what they had seen, listened to the experiences of others, and discovered new perspectives on understanding their own emotions and experiences.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and mutual support. The films became a kind of mirror, helping participants take a closer look at themselves, their emotions, and their inner processes.
We would like to thank all participants for their openness, sincerity, and willingness to engage in reflection. Meetings like these help people better understand themselves, develop emotional awareness, and discover new resources for personal growth.
