A support group featuring the art therapy technique “Doodles” was held
On June 13, 2026, the Mentally.one team held a support group dedicated to exploring inner emotional states through the art therapy technique known as “Doodles.” The session was designed to help participants reduce emotional tension, develop self-reflection, and discover new ways of connecting with their thoughts and feelings.
During the group, participants engaged in spontaneous drawing, using lines, shapes, and images as tools for exploring their inner world. This creative approach helped bypass habitual rational control and allowed participants to pay closer attention to emotions and experiences that often remain unexpressed.
At the beginning of the session, participants reflected on the psychological state they hoped to achieve by the end of the group. They then took part in a series of art therapy exercises, including the “Doodles,” “Metamorphoses,” and “Doodle Figures” techniques. Through the creative process, seemingly chaotic lines gradually transformed into meaningful images, personal associations, and stories that became the basis for further reflection and discussion.
The group provided a safe space for creative self-expression and emotional exploration. Participants had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their experiences, discover new meanings within their personal stories, and identify inner resources for coping with tension and fatigue.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of trust, support, and acceptance. The shared creative experience helped participants slow down, reconnect with their needs, and develop a stronger sense of connection with themselves.
We would like to thank all participants for their openness, courage in self-exploration, and active engagement. Meetings like these help people better understand themselves, reduce emotional tension, and discover new ways of caring for their psychological well-being.
