Closed Psychological Support Group on the Topic: “Karpman Drama Triangle”
A psychological support group was held by an experienced specialist. The topic of the meeting was the well-known psychological concept — the Karpman Drama Triangle, which describes destructive interaction in the roles of Victim, Persecutor, and Rescuer.
During the meeting, participants learned:
- how people can unconsciously shift from one role to another;
- why “rescuing” can sometimes maintain the problem instead of solving it;
- how to recognize the moment when interaction turns into a toxic scenario;
- which tools can help step out of the “triangle” and build healthy relationships.
The meeting combined a theoretical part with practical exercises. Participants discussed their personal experiences, shared emotions, and received support in a safe atmosphere.
The goal of our closed group was to help people notice these roles in their lives and choose a different, more constructive way of responding.
At the end of the meeting, each participant received a short action plan to help reduce the impact of destructive patterns in communication.
