Psychological Support Group on the Topic: “Exploring the Inner World and Defense Mechanisms”
On September 7, another meeting of the psychological support group took place, dedicated to the topic of exploring the inner world and defense mechanisms. The atmosphere of the group was warm, open, and safe, which allowed participants to delve deeper into their own experiences and share their feelings.
Art Practice “Shells”
The main part of the session was a creative exercise using seashells, paints, and brushes. This art practice helped participants visually and symbolically express their own defense mechanisms and, at the same time, their vulnerability. Through painting and working with natural materials, new associations emerged, which contributed to deeper self-exploration.
Discussion “Protection and Vulnerability”
After the creative exercise, an open discussion was held. Participants shared their observations and reflections: what protection means to them, how it manifests in everyday life, and in which moments they allow themselves to be vulnerable. This became an important step toward recognizing inner resources and discovering new ways of self-care.
Closing Circle
The meeting ended with a traditional circle, where everyone had the opportunity to summarize their feelings after the session and highlight something valuable they would take away from the group.
Impressions and Meaning
The group became a safe space for exploring difficult yet important topics. Creativity, sincere dialogue, and mutual support helped participants feel that even in moments of vulnerability, one can find strength — both within oneself and within the group.
