Psychotherapeutic Support Group for Young Men
A Psychoeducational Support Group on Depressive States Was Held
As part of our psychoeducational initiative, on April 27, 2025, we hosted a two-hour psychological support group dedicated to depression, low mood, and the feeling of inner emptiness—emotions that are especially relevant in today’s climate of uncertainty and constant change.
Together with the facilitator, participants explored what depression is, its key symptoms, and the neurochemical processes behind it, as well as the internal and external factors that can contribute to its onset. Special emphasis was placed on identifying self-help strategies, working with negative thought patterns, and reconnecting with personal values and resources.
During the session, attendees took part in a series of practical exercises, including:
- “Story Chain” to build rapport among participants
- Working with personal values and the barriers that prevent their realization
- Discussing individual experiences of sadness
- Exercises in active listening, transforming negative thinking, and planning beneficial activities
At the end of the meeting, participants shared their impressions and insights. Many noted that the group provided a safe space for discussing difficult emotions and served as a source of support, inspiration, and new ideas for improving their well-being.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
Caring for mental health is a source of strength.
