Support Group on Emotional Literacy and Understanding Your Emotional States
On April 26, a support group on the topic “Emotional Literacy (How to Recognize and Name Your Emotional States)” was held as part of the youth psychological support project.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to better understand their own emotions, learn to notice their psychological and bodily reactions, and discuss the difficulties that arise when trying to describe their inner state or explain it to other people.
As part of the theoretical section of the group, participants explored the concepts of emotional and rational responses, learned more about the relationship between emotions, thoughts, and behavior, and discussed common reactions to stress, fatigue, anxiety, and other emotional states.
The practical section included exercises focused on identifying personal emotional reactions, analyzing bodily signals, and recognizing the emotions of other people. Participants also completed interactive activities aimed at developing emotional awareness skills and improving self-understanding.
The group took place in a safe environment of mutual respect and support, where each participant had the opportunity to share personal experiences and gain new tools for emotional self-regulation.
